We are partnered with some amazing organisations who are helping us to make Wolf Tamer happen. You can read more about who they are and what they do below.
ARK T CENTRE
The Ark T Centre is a creative arts project that believes that the Arts and creativity are important vehicles for people to discover new things about themselves and so unlock their potential to create change. It’s home to a whole range of ventures; creative workshops, dance workshops & music classes. There’s a recording studio for young musicians, rehearsal space for theatre and dance, a performance and concert area and studios for a group of resident artists. Camerados Living Room, at the heart of the Centre, provides space for people to meet each other and enjoy delicious home cooked food, or just relax with a cup of coffee. The Ark T Centre is a registered charity and a community of people and artists from different disciplines and backgrounds working together committed to creating space for the arts. It is committed to creating space for artists to develop their own vocation in a liberating environment that encourages mutual collaboration, understanding and involvement in the local and wider community. It is dedicated to creating and transforming space for people of different age, gender, culture and tradition to express themselves through the arts in order to discover new things about themselves and other people. Studio space is given to a group of artists and in return for their studio space the artists help to develop the vision of the Centre, enabling others to explore the Arts and their own creative skills.
Mental illness affects one in four of us in our lifetime, but people can and do recover.
Restore is an Oxfordshire-based mental health charity that supports people to take control of their recovery, develop skills and lead meaningful lives. We offer recovery groups, training and employment coaching to make this possible.
We are one of the longest established and most highly regarded community rehabilitation services in the UK. Founded in 1977, we are part of a partnership of local mental health organisations with a commitment to helping people to recover, stay well and participate in and contribute to the life of our county.
Tandem provides one-to-one befriending outside of the home to people in the immediate Oxford area who have been through a period of mental ill-health and are looking to rebuild their lives. We are currently supporting up to 20 befriending partnerships on a weekly basis.
Training for volunteers: We are now looking to train up volunteers in mental health awareness and befriending skills. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer befriender with Tandem please get in touch at: http://firstname.lastname@example.org
